Trespass: A History of Uncommissioned Urban Art

Last Tuesday Woostercollective’s book Trespass: A History of Uncomissioned Urban Art had it’s official book launch at the Taschen store in Paris.
“Trespass: A History of Uncommissioned Urban Art” is a new TASCHEN book about the history of graffiti and unsanctioned art, written by Carlo McCormick of Paper Magazine, curated by Marc and Sara Schiller of Wooster Collective and edited by Ethel Seno that comes out in September and is now available for pre-order.
I’m really into Taschen’s books, especially the one’s about both art and street art.I’ve never been to Paris but if I had the chance one day, will definitely visit Taschen’s flagship store. Below you can see the store’s inside and have an opinion.

Back to the event…During the event - a few lucky bastards- had chance to see new artworks from a range of creative French artists including Blek La Rat, INVADER, JR,Zevs and Alexone.
You may recognize INVADER from Banksy’s latest movie ( which I had the chance to watch it on Istanbul Movie Festival and wrote a review how I missed the premiere in London) Exit Through the Gift Shop. By the way he is the cousin of movie’s hidden superstar Mr.Brainwash.

Here is a video introduction to Trespass: A History of Uncommissioned Urban Art featuring interviews by Marc and Sara Schiller (Wooster Collective) Carlo McCormick, WK Interact, Anne Pasternak, Martha Cooper.
